macromedia flash sitedesign:
I'm trying to design a site in Flash. I have designed the first part where the
page loads and animates, then a new stage where the website will start from. Do
I have to export all this and import it all again into a new stage area as any
changes on stage 2 is affecting stage 1

thanks

Huh?
can you re-explain that one? It made no sense to me - short answer is no - you should never have to
export and reimport to avoid a conflict - what do you mean by "any changes on stage 2 is affecting
stage 1"?
What is stage 1 and 2? Two different flash docs? Or two different symbols?

I still don't understand what you are doing when you say "...I make stage 2" - that is not flash
terminology I have ever heard before and can be taken a couple different ways:

are you creating a whole new flash doc (file > new)?
are you creating a new scene?
are you creating a new symbol?

please be slear and explain your process. Making stage 2 and having it automatically copy everything
is nothing i have ver known flash to do in 10 years.

ahhh - gotcha - thats what i figured but just wanted to make sure. Most developers avoid scenes -
they can cause problems depending on how the site is setup - in the end, once the fla is published,
all reference to scenes are gone and all scenes become 1 long timeline. Best practice is to break up
different section into individual FLA/SWF movies and load them dynamicaly. See this:

the site loads with all the fancy garb that you see, the navitaion does all the
twirls or what ever happens and the logo flashes ect and then stops. (intro).
then the main interface or the main site is there.

if i make stage 2 it copies everything. i want to make changes to stage 2 and
it changes everyting on stage 1. (want to makechanges to the navigation ect)

in short how do you make a website the best way possible

Yes, sorry it was scene. scene 1 and 2. the stage area is your main area which
i did think was flash terminology. sorry brains gone after 10 hours. don't
worry about it. if you could reccommed some websites that may explain the best
way to set up a site that would be great.
