Hi Christina

Flash does not do a good job importing objects but I do know that Flash
treats eps or ai files differently depending on the version it was saved
in illustrator.
Try saving them with a version earlier than 8, it might help.

Otherwise, have you tried gogin from illustrator to Fireworks then to
flash? What happens when you copy and paste?

I am creating a site for a photographer. I am pretty experienced in Flash mx
2004. I am having a problem with this site. I have tried all of the file
formats including, EPS, AI, jpeg, and the Export to SWF command. I keep coming
up with the same problem in Flash MX 2004. My image has an ugly grey line
around the outer edge. Any idea what the problem may be?

thank you

Christina

Hi chris,

If it is an vector image covert that into WMF and import in flash.. if
it's an jpg its better u mask the edge with an rounded rectangle.. Even
if u give any effects in illusrtr it;ll convert tht in to Jpg...

Hope this will do..

i would recommend preparing your photographs in photoshop instead. illustrator
is geared more towards preparing files for print. photoshop on the other hand
is better suited for preparing web images.
