macromedia flash sitedesign:
Hi!

I'm trying to create a button in Flash using a pixel font. I wrote the
word 'News', and when you put the mouse over the color of the word
should change.

The problem is the 'hit' area doesn't show up as what I intended. In my
button the hit area competely covers the word, so the word is
clickable.

But when I test the movie the clickable area is off to the side of the
word. Actually, the clickable area seems to be broken into pieces
around the word but not actually on the word. When the mouse is over
the word the cursor appears, rather than the hand. As if the word is
still a text instead of a button.

Is this because I'm using the pixel font? How can I fix it so that the
button works as a button should, but still use the pixel font for
better legibility?

I hope I'm making sense. Maybe looking at the file itself would be
better.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!

BTW,

I've used the pixel font somewhat succesfully, it looks fine, text
field is on a whole number x and y and the font size is 8.
I drew a shape (rectangle) as a 'hit area'.

Thanks!
