macromedia flash sitedesign : High quality video in flash

Hi I am new to this site. I used to use Flash 4 back in 2000 and just started
back again using Flash 8. Anyway I was wondering if someone could point me to
some resources/tutorials/books on how to integrate high quality video into a
flash site. As an example please see the sites below

http://64.ufc.com/
http://65.ufc.com/
http://66.ufc.com/

I want to know how they get these lengthy videos to load very fast and still
be high quality.

Thanks everyone for the help and advice in advance.

With Flash 8 encoding you get really good quality at fairly low
bitrates. If you don't maintain your own server, you might want to look
into subscribing to a host that supports flv - ideally one that has
Flash Communication Server. That being said, I recommend - at least at
this point in time - to also encode the video for flash 6/7
compatibility and have the loading swf detect version. Flash 8 has a
wide install base, but 6/7 is still pretty commonplace, especially in
corporate environments where updates are not determined by the user.

A service provider I like is influxis.com - but there are numerous
others as well.

FLV

Just done one recently - www.Mixit.TV - you need the pro version of Flash,
and its very easy, you can download the demo of it from www.Adobe.com to
see if it will do what you need. Hope that helps

Honestly, its REALLY easy - you don't need to do too much reading!

Only thing I would mention, my initially 'FLV' couldn't be streamed - I
needed to make some changes to mime types and bits ...

What did you use for deployment: Progressive Download or do you have a Flash
Video Streaming Server? I was able to encode some AVIs but my MPGs are messed
up (they are flipped vertically for some reason).

Just a standard server... can't afford the server license ...
