macromedia flash sitedesign: :confused;
Probably not the right words to use for the topic, but maybe it helps. I have
a website I am building and the main/home page is stationary, while the other 5
pages shift in and out over the main page when their corresponding button is
clicked.

Problem is, while my other pages (example contact page) is displayed, the
links to the home page are accessible and usable through the displayed
page...hence bleed through! What can I do to solve this problem because I don't
want someone thinking they are clicking on one thing and then getting info that
is availble from the main page. I can't understand what is causing the bleed
through and/or how to fix it.

Help please!

Well, it's hard to say without seeing your file but It sounds like those items
have been left on there either by being on a layer above the new page or they
weren't removed if they were placed there by actionscript. How do you have it
set up where the other pages slide in?

When your Contact section slides in, you need to make your first page items
become invisible. It depends on how you set this up. You may need to put a
keyframe on the layer where the first page items are and remove them on the
section where the others slide in or if you have it set up as a movie clip,
then you need to make the first page items invisible.

1. how are the items that slide in set up? are they loaded movie clips? are
they a different keyframe on the timeline?
2. how are your original page items set up? are they sitting on a layer on the
main timeline?

If you answer these or provide a link to your FLA, we can help you better.
