macromedia flash sitedesign:
I want a navigation bar, that once rolled over, expands a list OVER the page
content.
Look at the top of the page.
The navigation bar says 'solutions | Products | Support | Communities |
Company | Dowloads | Store'
Then, move your mouse over any of thsoe buttons.
Lo and behold, a little sub menu pops up, COVERING the text of the page.
Take your mouse off of that little navigation bar, and the drop down menu
dissapears, and you can read the text again.

THAT is what I want to do. I want to make a menu, that once rolled over, gives
a submenu that will cover the content on the page.
If I create the menu AND ALL OF It'S DROP DOWN SUB MENUS on the same stage,
the menu bar is the height of the longest drop down list, and the text that I
want the submenus to drop down OVER doesn't begin until UNDER the entire stage.

I will take screen shots of the dang problem and what I want if this still
doesn't make sense.

Hi

The Navbar you refer to at the top of this page may have been designed in
Flash/Fireworks but its nof a swf.
If you take a look at the page source you will find its defined by css and
html. Its seems the Navbar is control by javascript
and uses the DOM class/api to change layers.
