Hi yall! I am trying to import an illustrator graphic into Flash and then use
it as a mask. I have done this before with no problems as long as it is a solid
one piece graphic. Now I am trying to use a logo that has 3 separate layers but
when I import it into Flash it comes in as one piece (Which is what I want) but
the mask will only work with one of the layers. I flatten the logo when I
import, but I don't know what is going wrong or if this is even possible. I
have even exported the file as a swf file and still no love. Any suggestions
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Try flattening/embedding everything in the the Illustrator file and then try
importing it into Flash. Also, does it have to be imported as an Illustrator
file? Try saving the file as a pdf, tiff, jpg, etc., and then import into Flash
(of course, only the pdf will keep the file as a vector image).

Ok I finaly fixed the problem. I had to make a compound path out of my image in
Illustrator. You can do this by selecting all of the layers then going to
object>compound path>make.

Thanks for all your help!
