Hi I've recently got the web-design box (as I'm a student and it's cheap) I
know my way round flash to a basic level, I can creat simple buttons with sound
and small simple movies.

I am now planning to design the whole website in Flash, so it looks cooler and
functions better.

This site www.mr-ion.com is arranged in 3 columns, or this site which has
different boxes www.misterg.co.uk

I want to have basically the same layout as Mr-ion
Left side - Menu
Midle - text and pics
right - music player and logo

So for example in the right column I will have a music player that will
continue to play even when different menu items are clicked on the left. So if
I click news, news text will appear in the middle, but the music player will
remain undisturbed.

Are there tables I need to creat or boxes?

Thanks for your help

There are a ton of different ways to do this, but the easiest if you are new to
this is to keep it all on one stage. The great thing about flash is you can
place images and everything wherever you want them. Just put your menu buttons
on the left. Stick your different sections into their own movie clips in the
center, and put your audio player on the right.

To go to different sections, once you hit the button send your timeline to the
next frame where the movie clip is.

So, I guess to answer your question, you don't need tables. Just movie clips
placed where you want them.

Thank you,
John
