Give the tutorials that come with Flash a try. There is so much to know about
building a site that you need to get a firm grasp on the basics first and go
from there. Tackle one task at a time and eventually you'll get there.

Good luck!

Could you recommend a good tutorial that will help me build my site in Flash?

I've tried a couple of tutorials but they are for very specific sites, I have
the site in my mind but need to work out how to link to frames, what to do with
different layers etc

Thanks for your suggestions.

I know this might sound daft, but can't find any tutorials, there aren't any
in the Flash folder in my apps foler.

And under Flash's help menu I'm only led to online web pages, broken links
etc. none with any tutorials on. Could you direct me ?

Thanks

I wish it was that easy
I'm using flash cs3

Under Help, there is nowhere that says "Getting Started With Flash"
Inside flash help there is a "using flash" folder then "getting started" and
inside that is a link that goes to
http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/video_workshop/

I have found this quite helpful (for anyone else looking)

I found some Flash lessons online that were fantastic and they cost practically
nothing. Check out this website: http://www.lvsonline.com/schedule.shtml
I made these while taking the classes:

Sorry I missed all the previous replies.

When you first open flash, there are 3 options on the Startup screeen:

Getting Started takes you to: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/
At the bottom has some nice links

If you just select Help > Flash Help there is an option on the left
called "Using Flash". I bet if you read all those topics you'll have a
