I am using Firefox 1.0 with Flash Player 7 on linux, and I am still having
problems with A/V sync.

I am using ALSA with OSS emulation.

Here is my audio card from lspci:
00:06.0 Multimedia audio controller: Yamaha Corporation YMF-724F [DS-1 Audio
Controller] (rev 03)

I am using the snd-ymfpci module.

This is actually an ESD issue. If ESD is running at any time when the Flash
player is active, it will use the ESD socket for sound rather than OSS. ESD
DOES NOT WORK WITH VIDEO PERIOD!

ESD never has worked nor will work with mplayer. ESD has several internal
flaws which cause horible audio lag in almost every application that requires
A/V Sync.

What we need is a way to disable the use of ESD by the flash Flash plugin in
Linux. This needs to be an option in the flash menu.
