This changes everything as far as competitors who stream video from websites.

We are simply blown away by the capability of the new Flash 8 video
compression capabilities.

Take for example a 50MB high resolution streaming video file that is
compressed at a streaming rate of 2800kbps(using competitors compression).

Now compress the same file using new Flash 8 video compression, and you end up
with a streaming video that is only 15MB(approx. 800kbps) and still has nearly
the same level of quality as the original video file.

You can see for yourself one of our test videos here >
http://nomorelag.com/kingkong.asp.

You will need a good broadband connection (high speed DSL or cable) to view
this video...and you may need to update your browser's flash player(update
available at the link above).

Let me know your comments!

Am I imagining or you repost this "wow flash 8 video is amazing" post every
few days with the purpose to attract people to your site :)?

I can list at least 4-5 variations of this same post here linking to the
same site.

:)

seems rather useless without support for more os's.
its at the point now where if i encounter a website with flash, i will purposely avoid it.

As a Macromedia developer, I post to this forum to help other developers
decide on upgrading to the new Flash 8.

As a business owner I post links to film forums and dvd forums as well as new
game forums to attrack visitors to the website...visitors I might add that
exceed 30 million per month.

I have no need to attack visitors from this forum for business, as I already
have enough business.

While I am sharing a vision of the future that other developers can be excited
about, I am in fact encouraging other business owners to get on board for the
future of the internet...something I am sure other developers are thankful for.

Perhaps I should not be encouraging new competition, but the truth is, myself
and others are making so much money from such a massive market, we realize
there is more than enough business to go around.

Good luck to all of you who are forward looking and embrace this wonderful new
Flash 8...take my word for it, and investment of your time will be reward.

Good bye and take care!

What more support do 99% of your customers need than OSX and Windows?

Linux geeks flooding a mass entertainment site is so unlikely...
