When running the stand alone installer for flash player i get this error
Error 1904.Module C;\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\Flash8.ocx failed to
redgister. HRESULT -2147220473. Contact your support personnel

What is that mean and could this be the reason i cant install flash?

That may mean the dll is already registerd. You can exit all browser windows
and try
regsvr32 /u flash8.ocx in the directory where flash is installed. You have to
open a command window to do this.

Otherwise, just click the uninstall link on the Flash web page, then try
reinstalling and you shouldn't get this message again.
