macromedia players flash: I did an update of Flash player now everything flash is broken.
and when i try to install it the exe just loads flashs soem lines then closes..
and Flash media still does not show up.

I am using win XP with Mozilla

I am having the exact same problem and have been unable to find a solution
anywhere. I have XP sp2, run ms antispyware, mcafee viruscan (which when this
problem originally started, I did not run either of these and instead ran trend
micro pccillin). Flash works fine on ie. No matter what I do with firefox
flash refuses to work, however on about:plugins, it says it is installed.

I found out how to fix it on the firefox forum.

Apparently that server is down. Is it possible to quickly summarize the fix?
