That's correct .. its not a program .. its a plugin and activex control

That isn't very clear .. if the swf do anything at all, then the player is
properly installed .. is its not functioning correctly while its playing,
that a problem with the SWF or your system, or with security settings. You
say you can open them, but its not working ... maybe you could describe
exactly what it is you are doing and exactly what is happening and what will
not 'function correctly'?
NOTE: If the player wasn't installed, you wouldn't see the spinning message
etc .. because that required flash player to see it.
