I installed the FlashPlayer and it works in my IE browser but if I double click
an .swf file on my hard drive it cannot find an associated program. I do not
want to associate it with IE. How can I get my .swf's to play when double
clicked? Thanks.

Hello,

You can set what program opens the .swf file using an associations manager.
You could download a free one here:
http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_description/0,fid,8150,00.asp
You could associate the swf file with any program you want.
Please tell us if it works or if you have difficulties using the association
manager.

Good luck!

Please tell me why do we have to install a player from the url above, while we
have a macromedia flash player installed? When I e-mail some (any) swf-file to
myself as attachement, after receiving and open, it playes great. From any url
on the web it plays. But from the heartdisk, it is linked to Internet Explorer
and that doesn't work. Please help (working on Windows 2000 Pro) and tell me
where and how to link a SWF-file.
