macromedia players flash : Flash Player 8 problem on Mac OS X

Hello all:

Brian here. I have the latest Flash Player that I can get a hold of (unless
I'm allowed to download the 8.5 alpha from somewhere), and for some strange
reason, if I go to click on a button at all, the click does NOT happen over the
visual graphic provided. It's about 50-100 pixels ABOVE where you would EXPECT
to click! This is the same no matter if I create the content, or if I'm
looking at someone elses work. This is BAD, and this needs to be rectified
immediately.

Is there anyone out there who can help me get this straightened out at all?
If so, please e-mail me at this E-mail address:

I REALLY need to get this all squared away. Thanks. I cannot create content,
that other users are going to see, but have a tough time using. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Brian K. James

I am having the same problem. In addition, the "stop;" actionscript does not
seem to be working. I am using Flash 7.2 to create my content. How about you?
Perhaps Flash Player 8 has trouble playing swf's that are version 7.

I am seeing something close to this using java and webkit to host flash. Are
you using safari?
