macromedia players flash : Macromedia Title Does Not Appear on Front Page

When I go to Macromedia's Front Page, I see no titles (only a big gray gap) at
the top, and I also get the following error code:

Line: 2
Char: 1
Error: 'do_dw_var' is undefined
Code: 0
URL: http://www.macromedia.com/

Why is this happening?

You are about the third person to have this problem. In previous cases
what it meants was that VB Scripting was turned off. There is some
detection code on our pages (and on some other pages that aren't
macromedia.com) that require VBScript to run. If VBScript can't run
you'll get this error.

This is starting to come up more than once, so I suspect something is
modifying folk's security settings..

Try running Regsvr32 vbscript.dll in a command window.

Running Regsvr32 vbscript.dll in a command window worked fine for me too!
I have been looking for months for a resolution and finally found it here, when even Macromedia was not able (or willing) to help!
Cheers!!!!
