macromedia players flash : Flash Freeze/Hiccuping On Playback

I was able to get Flash 7 to install fine, no errors were ever returned. After
the trouble started I tried rebooting, uninstalling and cleaning up all temp
folders and reinstalling, I also tried updating windows and the driver for my
graphics card. None of these have fixed the issue Flash is having with my
computer. The problem is that the flash movies or games play alright for a few
moments and then will freeze for about 1 second and then go back to playing
normally. I have tried everything I can think of, but I'm not real familiar
with how Flash works so my options have been limited to simple things like
updating, uninstalling and reinstalling. I tried the MSI installer but it
didn't change anything. I am running Win2k Pro, a fresh install from about a
day ago. The problem happens on Firefox and on IE, as well as on Mozilla
browser. Any help would be greaty appreciated. If you need any more details
feel free to ask and I will post any and all information that I can to try and
resolve this issue.

Thanks ahead of time,
matt

Finally solved the problem. Turns out the onboard audio on this mobo wasn't
dealing with flash very well. Disabled the onboard audio as a last ditch
effort to see if maybe the sound was the issue and turns out it was that. Time
to dig out the pci audio card. Hope this might help someone having the same
issue.

Thanks for reporting that.. Just out of curiosity, what audio drivers
were those?
