macromedia players flash : Flash player doesn't work in internet explorer

Your html is most likely stuffed from you changing it manually and not doing
it properly. Check that the object and embed tags actually refer to the
same SWF file.

Or is it that it just doesn't work at all for ANY web sites (not just stuff
you've written).

In that case have you tried uninstall and reinstall of the player?

Have you looked to see if the player is disabled in IE's ActiveX plug-in
manager thingy (whatever its called)?

Have you some app installed that blocks flash content (some ad blocking
software does that).
