for some reason calls to getURL("javascript:functionName();"); do not
seem to be working in Flash Player 8 on Internet Explorer... a test page
here demonstrates this:

Hi,
How to enable flash(ActiveX) support in IE on Windows 2003. I always get
"Sedurity settings do not allow Web sites to use ActiveX controls". Maybe there
is official Macrodemia description how to enabled it?

Hello
I am using Mandrake 9.2 linux , and it has 2.4.22-41mdk kernel.
The browser is Firefox, and everytime any flash file has audio in it
it either plays too fast and stutters or blocks the soundcard entirely and
crashes the browser.

I had Macromedia Flash 7 before which worked perfectly fine. Then some websites
stopped working and told me to get Macromedia Flash 7(which I already had
installed). Now that Macromedia Flash 8 came out I thought it would fix the
