macromedia players flash:
I was trying to print some cards from designhergals.com and I was prompted to get the newest version of flash. I downloaded it but when it installed and opened up I got this message that the page has content of MIME type "application/x-shockwave-flash" a plug in and directs me to adobe to find this plug in. No one at adobe seems to know what this is-nor did the person I spent an hour with a apple support. I now have no flash-despite trying even to download archived flash versions. I have reinstalled both safari and foxfire, restarted my computer many times, reinstalled flash and unistalled flash. I am at my wits end, Apple says this is a adobe problem, adobe says they don't offer support on this, Any help would be greatly appreciated!! sue
Just wanted to let you know that I have tried running this through Rosetta and on other browsers to no avail. I did find a previous thread referencing downloading Pacifist- and installing just the original flash, but this is from months ago- and i think refers to flashplayer 8. I am willing to give it a try-but am kind of afraid in a way. I can't believe apple and adobe cannot help me in this situation-after I paid apple extra for support. How can adobe offer a product that potentially messes up your computer-with no references (that actually do anything) on how to fix it on their help pages? So frustrating-and i've spent hours on this! any one out there- please help!
