When I try to watch video....or audio using the internet, Adobe Flashplayer shows me video...but no audio!
The problem turned out to be with the new Adobe flash player: I found a thread where someone solved the problem. Go Start->Run Type Regedit Open the following folders: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE->Microsoft->Windows NT->Drivers32 On the toolbar at the top, select Edit->New string value Name it wavemapper Right click on wavemapper->Modify Under Value data->enter msacm32.drv Problem solved!
I am having the same problem. Only my problem just started yesterday for no apparent reason. I was watching movies on YouTube, and suddenly the movies stopped playing the sound. Then today, I was watching a movie and the audio fizzed out right in the middle of the playback and it hasn't returned! Its the same whether I use Firefox or IE. Flash just won't play sounds! I checked my machine via regedit and that little trick posted above won't help me. That "wavemapper" already exists!
will this process work if you're running windows xp pro sp2? i have the same problem where i was not getting any audio playback whatsoever. i was able to play mp3's via windows media player, winamp and my music editing programs. but if i go to youtube, soundclick, or any sites where i can stream media i'll get video but no audio.
