macromedia players flash:
OK, hoping someone in the forum can help me with this. My flashplayer was
working fine with all web sites, UNTIL I decided to go to the adobe web site
and download the "most current version", or so I thought. Now, when I go to a
site that uses flash, say UTube, for example, I receive an error that I do not
have the most current version of Flash Player installed. So, I of course have
then gone to the Adobe site and used the installation program to install the
"latest" version. Which for my Mac OS is version 9.0. But after I install the
"latest" version when I go to the
www.adobe.com/go/tn_15507 address, it says
that I have version 6.0.47.0 installed. But when I go to the web site
www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome address is says that I have version 9.0 r 432
installed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the flash player amost a dozen
times trying to fix this and also have contacted adobe support who gave me the
two test pages I referenced above. But adobe has stopped trying to help me
figure this out. So I am hoping someone here can be of assistance. It seems
to me that something in my MAC is now preventing the computer from installing
the latest version and I think I had the latest version already on my computer
before this all started. How can I get version 9.0 installed and recognized by
UTube, etc.???
