I amm new to flash and was successfull in designing a player from
tutorials....My only problem is that I am not able to get the player out of
auto-play mode. Whenn I open the player it start to play the first video on the
list. Could someone please direct me as to how to "disable" this auto-play so
that I could use the Play button oin the control bar... Thanks for any
assistance.

I am just a humble wanderer seeking to learn something about flash. I am sorry,
i cannot help you, though i do have a question for you, as i believe you can
helm me. How do you get the player IN auto-play mode. Actually, i am wanting to
put a flash player video from youtube in my myspace account and i want to
customize it that it autoplays, instead of making me push play every time.
Thanks for your help.

n your action script when you created the listerner object, there should be a
line this :
ns.play(videoList.getItemAt(videoList.selectedIndex).data);
take out 'data' and replace it with 'desc',
also how did you get it to not play on start up.
