Well even the FP fix reply I got from Adobe is CRAP. Need a Masters degree in

I cannot download Flash 9. I keep getting the "" instead of the completion
picture. I have tried using the technical fix dated July, which advises
deleting previous versions, deleting a registry file and reloading, all to no

Ive had Flash player 9 on my system for a while and worked fine
yesterday i installed WinDVD and today uninstalled it
since then any embedded video loads for 2 secs then stops and has no audio
i tried uninstalling Flash player and reinstalling...still nothing

I'm having trouble installing flashplayer, I have done everything from
installing it to uninstalling it, turned down my security levels, cleaned out
my temp internets files and tried to install it all over again.

I cannot vouch yet for this fix but it did help someone. Some stuff are repeats
of items already suggested. It does involve going to SAFE MODE and has a few
other steps I have not previously seen here. The posters name in the MS Forums

Adobe flash player 9 does not want to install
- on XP sp2 IE6 sp2
- removed all security features
- I am admistrator
- removed pevious player
- security setting to lower level

HELP!
I have been using Flash 8 and set up a video using FLV and SWF files on a
client site in order to stream video as a progressive download directly fron
the client's domain.
So far, IE 6 and above works fine. Even Safari on the Mac worked properly for

It seems to install it shows the ocx file in my flash folder and the plugin in
the browser but will not open flash movies or flash content.. I know for a fact
it's my flash because no flash items will show up, the test page also is a no
