Hello,


1. I am running Gentoo Linux 2.6 with Flash 7.0.61

2. Problem occurs in Firefox 1.5, Mozilla 1.7.12, and Epiphany 1.83.

3. The problem that I am encountering is that flash based "naviagtion menus"
will not overlap over other flash elements in the web page. They will appear
underneath these other flash elements and hide most or all of the menu.

This occurs for me on the following sites:
http://www.rit.edu (the "about" row links ALL should have drop down menus)
http://www.rit.edu/~wwwits (top navigation menu, especially "services" have
same issues)
http://global.acer.com ("about acer, products & services" drop down menus have
same issue)

I'm sure there are others, but I can't think of them.

It isn't necessarily flash menus. I have similar problems with JavaScript
menus. I think that it has to do with the wmode setting (transparent) not
working on Linux.

I just need verification that this is an issue and if there is a workaround.

Adobe???
