We are currently writting documention within our product which refers to
Macromedia Flash files. My concern is whether Flash will be Macromedia Flash or
Adobe Flash in the future, or should we simply say Flash instead?

If Adobe completely gets rid of the Macromedia brand, how will the links to
Macromedia documentation be handled?

It will definitely change at some point, but I can't say to what at this
time, or when. So you might be best off with the generic Flash for now...
