Instead of applying workarounds, I most certainly prefer to have the previous
version (flash player 7).

The question is simple where can I go and download the previous version?

We have been experiencing the same problems after installing this version 8 of
Flash Player in MS-IE and XP Pro SP2. Administrators are able to see it,
normal user are cut-off.

Thanks. I found the following page, it says that these downloads are available
for testing purposes:

PS: Is there an estimate on when you are going to release a patch for version
8?
