This is the result of changes in Internet Explorer (NOT FLASH changes...)

Many colleagues tell me that they cannot open swf files that I send them even
though they download the player. It seems they have to right-click a swf file
and use the "Open with" function to tell it to use IE. Is that right??

I am experiencing the same problem. When I try to open a .SWF, a .PNG, or any
other Studio 8 application in XP Pro SP2 I get the open with dialog
box.......only none of the choice are macromedia choices. Even if I browse to
find the application, it's like windows doesn't respond. I'm not able to set my
defaults on any of the file types studio uses to macromedia applications? Any
suggestions?

Well, not sure what that is (but it certainly isn't a Flash Player problem!)

If it were my machine I'd just reinstall Studio 8. Sounds like
something overwrote your file type associations..
