Can someone explain to me what the trouble is releasing a version of flash for
amd64 on linux? We are a quickly growing minority and since you've got it
working on x86 linux I really don't see what the trouble is in compiling it for

So basically I have been having problems with many people not being able to see
the navigation buttons in flash files. I use flash 8 for the publishing, and
they are able to see the animations, but not the buttons, or text, or even be
able to click on the buttons.

After updating from 8.0.22.0 to the current 8.0.24.0 version of Flash player, I
see these new files under C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\:
I am assuming these files are installed by the current version:

I downloaded the Flash Player installer, and ran it. Firefox updates fine to
8,0,24,0. However, Internet Explorer is staying at 7,0,19,0. How can I get IE
to go to version 8,0,24,0?

Here at the lab, we run Win 2003 server, specifically Windows Terminal Server.
The free flash player 8 does not install correctly. You can install it as
administrator, but then only administrator can use it. If you uninstall it and

we use a win 2003 terminal server. users with administrative rights can view
flash but wont work for non admin users. any ideas? also when uninstalling do
we have to use the uninstall.exe or use add/remove programs? I've tried

There is an issue with the March 7th Flash uninstaller silent mode not being
silent.
Howto:
install_flash_player_active_x.msi /qb- (v8.0.24.0)
Attempt to uninstall with uninstall_flash_player.exe (v3.0.0.16) using the /S
silent switch

The Flash Player 7 and 8 redistributables only include the latest versions
of those players.
Is there any way of downloading previous player (build) versions? The reason
for this is
so that we are able to recognise and diagnose compatibility issues and

I just installed version 8.024.0 over 8.022.0 without first uninstalling the
earlier version. Afterwards, Macromedia's flash player page listed the version
as 24. We are a lab and I'm concerned about the security issue...should I have
uninstalled the earlier version first?

All our people run as limited users, which means that are unable to
download/install flash/shockwave player updates via the web, so we must
