I just rebuilt 4 computers...I was able to install flashplay on 2 of the 4
computers...the only difference was that I didn't update windows with the new
update from windows....Why can't I install flash player after all the windows
updates? These computer are used in a lab I need these everyday.

Working on a Windows ME computer, I fdisked/formatted/reinstalled ME, installed
all Critical/Security updates from Windows Update, only to find I couldn't
install Flash (or any other ActiveX controls). Found this thread, did a little
research, found out it's the KB912812 update that's screwing everything up.
Fdisked/formatted/reinstalled once again, only this time I installed everything
BUT the 912812 update, ActiveX controls install without a problem. M$ needs to
get their act together on this one. They don't seem to realize there are still
quite a few 98se/ME computers out there regardless of their desire to force
everyone to upgrade. Alot of people just can't afford that. -kd5-
