macromedia players flash : Flash will not play through selected sound device

I have a logitech usb headset/mic (note this is not a vendor specific issue. It
has been experienced by many people with many different cards etc.) That I use
sometimes on my Ubuntu Linux PC. I have tried this in The earlier version 5 of
ubuntu and in the current version 6.06 Dapper with the exact same results on
multiple machines with different soundcards(intel, ensonique, etc.). When I
plug in the headset and select it as my default audio device everything on the
computer works great all sound is directed to the device including other
firefox plugins. However Flash still gets routed to the original device. It is
the only app that does this. Is there a way to manually tell it which device to
use or can you build it so that it will use the local sound server instead of
connecting directly to the device?

This is happening for alot of people and we need some help.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give us!
