macromedia players flash : Version 9.0 Is Available

I just downloaded version 9.0 from
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/triggerpages_mmcom/flash.html. I was
ecstatic.

However, this appears to be the older version that doesn't work correctly with
Flex 2.0 Beta 3. My stylesheets aren't working with this release of version
9.0. I'm hoping that someone just posted the wrong file.

Is Adobe releasing the Flash version that was released with Flex 2.0 Beta 3,
or do I still have to wait for full Flex 2.0 support?

Flash Player 9 public release went live at midnight EST last night, in support
of the Flex 2 release and the ActionScript 3.0 preview on labs.

The version should be 9.0.16.0, which you can test here:
http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/

Flex beta questions should be posted to labs. Flex release questions to
the Flex forums here. This forum will generally be for install issues with
FP9 only.

Bentley,
What about the promised beta of a Flash Player version 9 for Linux?
The old hyperlink for http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/public_beta
now redirects to the release version's web page. I assume this is a bad sign
for an earlier release of a Linux beta.

Jack,

I have no public information on FP9 Linux at this time. Sorry.
