macromedia players flash : Annoying dotted border around flash objects...

Hey. In the past few months I've noticed every time I have a flash object on my
browser, it's surrounded by a dotted border that causes me to have to first
press on the flash object - and only then be able to use it.
So, for example, if the flash object is a menu, I first have to click
inside the flash object, and then the border goes off and the flash is
"activated".

Does anyone have any idea what causes this and how can I make it go away?

Thank you! :)

Ok, sorry, I just did some searching and realized I'm a total idiot and this
has been discussed hundreds of times...

Does this also apply to Firefox?
And why the hell is this thing so neccessary???
Pisses me off =\

Someone should hang Microsoft from a tree.

Oh, wait a second... Maybe I got this wrong.
I was referring to this annoying dotted box I got around the flash before I
could use it.

Were you guys talking about the blue banner that appears warning you about a
"security threat"?
Cause that's not what I was talking about...
