macromedia players flash : Won't finish downloading Flash Player 9

It's happening to me too, and tho' is a known issue with Flash Player not
re-installing completely where there was a prior installation, apparently even
if uninstalled first.

The fix provided on Adobe's own tech support notes (to edit the registry and
delete "safe versions" entry) Ain't working for Nothin' -- (look for the item
dated July 21 2006 under "Emerging issues" linking off the Home page (not the
download page!) for Flash Player for this fix description. The item is
regarding the quotation mark that appears when the installation process aborts
itself.

It is getting in the way of me being able to work. Not sure how to contact
anyone at Adobe about it, am looking for a place to email their support, but
not finding that info for Flash Player.

At fist I was just Annoyed. After not finding an easy fix and not finding a
way to contact support easily regarding what is a MONTH OLD BUG, and then
having to try to find a nickname that wasn't already taken in order to post
this reply --- which took a very very long time --- I've come to a conclusion:

Now, I'm really really really annoyed.

PS: Sorry that I don't have a fix for you, please post back if you manage to
find one that works.

:disgust;:mad;

I'm facing same problem - haven't tried going into the registry yet, but will.
I get a little quote mark where the "installation complete" movie should be.
I'm VERY frustrated. I'll keep looking for a fix and keep you all posted if I
learn anything - hopefully one of us will figure something out!!! (OR maybe the
folks at Adobe are browsing this forum and can offer some help).
