Hello my name is Bernard lough.
I am having a problem with Flash player.
My computer crashed 2 weeks ago and I sent it away and got everything replaced.
Since I've got it back I've noticed the following problem when
installing/Running flash:
Basically the installation itself goes fine and runs perfectly straight after
I install it. but when I start up my computer the next time. I get errors on
various site stating "I either have my JavaScript turned off or an old version
of Macromedia's Flash Player".
So far I have:
Deleted Internet explorer 7, tried IE 6, back running 7 now
Uninstalled and re-installed Flash player 9 numerous times.
Tried the stand alone player
Tried Flash player Version 8
I have made sure that active x content is accepted in internets explorer?s
tools.
But with out fail every startup. The files are still in the Macromed folder
under system 32/Windows however, and I get that error message when I try to
view content in you tube, my space etc

I'm using Windows XP Pro SP2

I have this exact same problem, I can no longer watch any of the videos on
youtube. I get the "have javascript turned off or need newer flash" message.
This is rediculous, I cannot figure out how to fix it either...

Me too! Everything was fine until yesterday, then suddenly I can't watch
YouTube videos. It says I need the new Flash Player or I've got Javascript
turned off. Javascript seems fine and the new version of Flash Player won't
download. Can anyone help?

I have the same problem and haven't found the solution yet. I was able to view
YouTube video's until I clicked on the "view in new style" (or something to
that affect). As soon as I clicked that I was no longer able to view many of
the videos. I can view SOME videos but not all. I get the same error message
you are. You Tube support had me do the whole uninstall Flash, clear cache and
history, etc. but it didn't help. The problem seems to be specific to You
Tube, as I can still play Flash content on other pages. At one time, You Tube
gave you the ability to revert to the old page style but they seem to have done
away with that. They will not offer any futher help either. I came here to
Adobe hoping to find the fix. Good luck all.
