Flash 9 works O.K. in Netscape 8 but not with IE7. I have uninstalled and
installed flash 9 several times and get the "successful install" message but
palyer isn't detected when running test from Adobe site. Although I can view
some sites that require flash when using IE7, I can't view MSN video. I have
had this problem for quite some time. From what I'm reading, I'm not the only
one with this problem. Any ideas???????????????????

: I've been having this same problem for weeks and I do think it has to do with
IE7, but haven't been able to get any satisfactory help thru Microsoft., and
absolutely none thru Adobe support! Hope you can come up with a solution.

Try the following for IE:
Uninstall the Flash Player via add/remove programs.

Then check the following path:
<system drive>:\\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\ If there is a .ocx file
there then try the posted uninstaller.exe
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_14157

If the .ocx file is not removed when you run the uninstaller then something
has locked the file. Close all IM clients, web browsers, and your email
application. Try the uninstaller again. If necessary try deleting the .ocx
file. (That will confirm if some third party application has locked the .ocx
file)

When you are sure the player is removed, check that you don?t have any pop up
blockers that block Flash installed on your system or in your browser. See
http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_19091

Then try reinstalling Flash from the Adobe website.

If that fails please contact technical support.
Hope that helps,
