When I go to any site that requires Flash, I get a message that I need to
download flashplayer. When I download it, i get a message that the installer
can't find the source folder and creates a new one. When I go to the Adobe
site and test the plugin, it says it works but the web sites still don't work.
ie: http://music.aol.com/top11/ If I switch over to my wife's Windows User
profile.... Everything works great on all websites.. I can't find the
difference between the two profiles on Windows XP. I am using Windows XP SP2,
AOL 9.0, IE 7 and Flashplayer 9.0
I even tried making a new user on Windows and had the same problem...

Maybe if other people having this problem can try other users on WindowsXP to
see if the problem is with one user or all users.... This may help Adobe
engineers find the problem.

The problem is that Flash Player 9 creates registry keys that grant permissions
only to the administrative user who installed it, and no others. I've tried
uninstalling and reinstalling from anothe administative user account, and then
the 2nd account can use it and the first cannot. I've gone in and looked at
permissions on the registry keys with both installations, and it's clear
Adobe's install sets up registry key permissions for just one user. I've
verified this on one of our home PCs and one work PC, both running Windows XP
SP2. I've reported it to Adobe support and have been waiting since Jan. 3,
2007 for a response.
