I have installed and uninstalled flash player 9 numerous times and still cannot
get it to work on either IE or AOL. It will work on my wife's windows profile
but will not work on anyone elses. And even on her's it will work until we shut
down the PC and when we bring the system back up we need to re-install on her
name and then it works but not on any other profile.

I have the same problem. I'm running WinXP with 3 profiles. 1 profile never
uses Flash. My trouble appeared to start when I was asked to install the latest
version of Flash on profile 2. After that Flash wouldn't work in profile 1. I
came to the Adobe site and tried reinstalling but it didn't change anything. I
followed the uninstall and reinstall with no change. I tried everything except
uninstalling IE7 - I'm not doing that. Adobe shows that I have the latest
version installed. There are 2 different sites I have tried that no longer work
on profile 1 so it's not just 1 site. Anyone have a solution?

I have the same problem. We are running MSN Explorer on a Windows XP with 3
user profiles. Flash Player is installed on the computer but only one profile
can use it. I have checked every internet option to make sure it is the same as
the profile that can use Flash Player and they are identical. This has been
going on for several weeks and I can not figure out what is wrong. It makes me
feel good that other people are having the same problems.

I notice no help is offered by anyone other than those of us experiencing
problems. I've tried all of the less drastic fixes without success. I hope that
EVENTUALLY someone will wake up and get this fixed. In the meantime I can do
without this since Firefox works. I use IE for all of my browsing but another
user downloaded Firefox some time ago so now I'm using it for sites needing
Flash. Life's too short to spend it patching applications that should have
otherwise been operational. If any of you are so inclined I'd recommend the
same to you. I'm not inclined to rant for or against IE or Firefox but I do
support results with a minimum of headache.
