I am not sure if it's related to some software installation that I performed, but I cannot get any audio from Flash files. I use JAlbum with the FotoPlayer skin to create Flash slide shows. The slideshow contains a loop and also has audio sounds when a slide is advanced. Up to last week, I didn't have any issues with the sound. This weekend I upgraded some software on my computer and I have lost all audio from playing my flash album. I use IE 7, and I have no audio problems using another computer configured with IE 7. So I have to assume that the SW I installed probably caused the problem but I can't figure wich setting could cause this. The problem also occurs with other SW I have to generate Flash. I unsinstalled all the SW I had installed and I also reinstalled the Flash 9 player after uninstalling it but to no avail...I even did a reset of my browser...following is a list of the SW installed which I then removed...Does anyone have any clue as to what could be causing the problem? [bullet] Windows Live Messenger Windows MediaPlayer 11 upgrade Logitec QuickCam Windows Desktop Search [/bullet]
I finally isolated the problem tonite after deinstalling/reinstalling the SW a few times...My problem appears to be related to my install of the Logitec Quickcam Fusion. Since I have installed the SW 3 times, I am pretty sure that I selected my external speakers from the dop down list in the configuration program, so I don't think it was finger trouble but I'm not trying again just to prove it. When I finally looked into the Sound and Audio Device Properties in the Control Panel and my default devices for Sound Playback and Voice Playback were set to "Modem #0 line playback". Resetting to the defaults to my external speakers corrected the problem. The reason I didn't look there before is that I was getting sound from some WEB video sites...Trew me off.
