can't download flash reader - i am administrator; active x running

can anyone tell me why i can't download the flash player?? all of my active
controls are running. i am the administrator. i even had gateway remote
control access for 2 hours to my computer and they can't figure out why i can't
download. they said it has to be the web site and not the comput... more >>
Illegal Instruction in Firefox 1.5 linux ubuntu

Flash Player 9 causes an illegal instruction when watching videos. This happens
after some (seemingly random) time of watching (1-2 minutes). Everything works
normally otherwise.
This is similar to segfaults reported on this forum (probably not related
though).

I hate when my browser automatically starts playing flash advertisements. At
the same time, I occassionally find flash useful, so I don't want to remove it.
Is there a way to prevent flash from automatically loading and playing
advertisements?

Before starting anything, I strongly recommend reading everything here
'including' my notes at the bottom!!!
1. Click 'start'
2. Click 'run'
3. Type 'system32' (click 'OK')
4. Click 'Macromed'
5. Click 'Flash'

Anyone know why http://www.braveboat.net is not visible by customers who have
IE 6, FlashPlayer 9 and javascript enabled? I used swfobject.js to load the
flash media, in the simplest possible fashion. These customers have tried
