this is for a friend that is attempting to install the latest version of
F-Player on her windows box.

this is the message that she sent me:
Flash player will not install. Can't find the directory, even when you browse
to it. After clicking on install the installer just disappears.

Does any of this look typical, or do I need more information?

I think I have exactly the same problem
whenever I start the installer for flash 9 i see a window with a progress bar
for a few moment which dissapears. for a few more seconds I can see the
hourglass pointer (not the big hourglass) and then nothing happens at all

Probably the reason is that a flash player is already installed (in firefox
and IE) but i want to install it with another browser (mozilla semonkey )

System specs:
winXP SP2 on DELL Optiplex GX520
special software: alternative windows shell

Any ideas how to fix this?
