macromedia players flash : Flashplayer Constantly Have To Uninst & Reinst

Every time I need Flashplayer, The media says I need Flashplayer. I go to the
Install Site. It goes through the motions without the download box showing up.
It says 9.0.28.0 is Successfully installed. I go back to the media and it still
doesn't work.
I have to use the uninstall program to uninstall it. Then I go to Adobe and
reinstall it. This time I will get the download box. I go back to the media (If
I am still interested), and everything works fine.... untill the next time I
need it in a few days. I have tried going to other media in a short time and it
still works.
How do I figure out what program is causing this? I know I can do trial and
error shutting down programs, but that could take an extremely long time and
most of my other programs I need more than Flash. Has anyone seen this problem.
I have Windows OneCare and run Tune-up once a week, but I haven't been able to
verify if that was causing any problems.
Thanks,
Duane

Thanks for inquiring on this, Duane. I have the same problem. Even if I
download the so-called latest version 5 minutes ago, every time Flash Player is
required I'm told I don't have the latest version and am prompted to download
it again. If I should find an answer, I'll come back here and let you know.

same for me. i've tried many many things, because i thought it was due to my
computer. i did all the updates i could (windows, java...). In the first place,
i thought it happened from the moment a windows update was installed last week
end. But even when restauring to a previous point, the problem persisted. so i
think it must be a coincidence.
hope there will be a fix soon.
cheers. L.
