I downloaded eight different .zip files that I urgently need to view for my
business. The zip files downloaded all right and I can extract them. The
continuing problem that has me totally frustrated and worn out is this. After I
extract the files to my desktop, six files are created, with three of them
being Shockwave files. When I click on the one Shockwave file that by size, is
obviously the video I want and need to see, Windows XP Pro w/sp2 gives me an
error message EVERY time!! It says Windows doesn't recognize the program that
created the Shockwave file. Yet, when I attempt to download (every time again)
the Shockwave Player in XP Pro SP2, it refuses to. I see NO error message from
XP - but nothing happens!!!! The window changes to one saying that the
Shockwave Player is being installed, but it never is. Not only that, but after
clicking on the correct "Download Now" button, I also don't see any normal
series of dialog boxes for the install. This makes no sense to me at all and
have no idea what to do. Can somebody please help?? I don't think the problem
is with the zip files, because they extract fine. Thank you.
