I have a cd with files with swf extensions, go to play and it says that there
isn't a program assoicated with swf. However where in the world is the player
since its not in program files area. Check website and checking player install
page shows shockwave and flash both working perfectly fine. Any suggestions?
Why can't we determine where the install goes as well?

Hi Mellie,

You can open the SWF files is any browser that has Flash Player installed.
When you install Flash Player for Windows IE or as a plug-in for Firefox or
Netscape? it does not install a stand alone player. Only when you install the
Flash IDE (For instance, Flash 8 or Adobe Flash CS3) would you install the
stand alone player.

To open the SWF in a browser, right click on the SWF and select Open With >
choose the browser that you wish to view it in.
