Just recently, for no apparent reason, my Macbook keeps losing/uninstalling the Flashplayer. I can be using it as normal, leave the page/site/browser and when I come back to it it fails, there is just the question mark. I then have to reinstall from the flashplayer icon and all is OK....until the next time. All macbook updates are installed and everything else is working OK. Any ideas as to what is happening and how to cure it ? Cheers and thanks 4JBL7
Dare I say all MacBook Pro users are having this same freaking problem????? I have the question mark all day in my line of work. I actually have to jump on a windows based computer to view webpages I upload and cannot view on MY computer!! Is there anyone out there who has an answer to the MacBook Pro dilemma? I see windows has Darren on their side. What about Mac people? left in the dust? we have been here since day one. Haven't had a problem like this on any of my Macs in 15 years.:mad;
THIS WORKED!!! BIG TIME!!!!!!!! FROM THE FIREFOX WEBSITE FORUM: PostPosted: Jul Fri 13th 2007 8:38am The settings in the Quicktime System Pref pane is different in the later OSX upgrades. In the pane, select the Advanced Tab. You will find a MIME settings button, click this. Open up each one of the settings. Two of them (Images, and Miscellaneous) have a selection for Flash. Deselect those two. After I did this and restarted Firefox, the problem went away. THIS SOOOOOOOOOOOOO WORKED IMMEDIATELY FOR BOTH SAFARI AND FIREFOX!!!!! YIP-FRICKEN-EEEEEEE!!!
