Hi everybody. I want to use SMS to push out the latest version of Flash Player, 9.0.47, and uninstall any installed older versions. I have the Install Flash Player 9 ActiveX.msi file, but I'm not sure what switches I need to throw at it to have it uninstall all older versions so only 9.0.47 remains in the end. any ideas?
this kind of tangential to your issie, but I need to know: I have Adobe Flash Player 9 on my computer, but I think it is broken. I want to download a new one. My question is: do I need to uninstall what I have before I download and reinstall?
Dazed, My personal opinion is to uninstall the old version. In your case, if the install is damaged in some way it may not be fully corrected by a new install of the same version. Another reason to uninstall first is that updates do not always uninstall old versions by default. My current computer is only a couple of months old, but already it has an outdated and insecure version on it that was not automatically uninstalled when I updated to the latest version . What is worse is that Windows add/remove software utility does not identify which installation is the latest version; it reports both as version 9.
