When attempting to install Learning QuickBooks on Vista Ultimate I get the
QuickBooks has stopped working message with the usual go find help popup. The
popup says "This program requires a missing Windows component." The
complaining code is called AutoPlay Menu Studio 4.0 Runtime from Indigo Rose
Corporation. I assume they have prepared the QuickBooks courseware for Intuit.
When I select Check for solutions online I go to the Microsoft site which says
I need to load the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. I've tried this at
least 5 times. Flash Player loads correctly but when I try to install the
course I get the same failure. Apparently this program cannot find flash.ocx.
I saw a tip that suggested some changes to the flash.ocx in
Windows\System32\Macromedia but I don't have a Macromedia director on my C
drive. Suggestions???

I'm not sure whether this will work and be interested to know whether it works
for you.
Try right mouse clicking on the application's icon and from the menu choose
"Run as administrator". Vista will ask you whether this is okay, just allow
this.

This worked for me with Flash apps in IE and I have Vista as well.

FYI, I think you'll find the .ocx file in...
C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash

Hope that this helps...
