:disgust; Calling for Help from any "Techie" - can't download Flash Player (Windows XP O.S.), despite numerous attempts, all I get is an Installation Desktop Icon which won't install it: 1) I am the Acct. Administrator on p.c. 2) On Internet Security, "Download Signed ActiveX Controls" is set to "Prompt". 3) "Run ActiveX Controls & Plug-ins" is set to "Prompt". 4) Tried disabling Norton Antivirus Firewall & Internet Security first - no good. 5) "Macromedia Flash Player 7.0 r14 Version 7.0.14.0 appears in C Drive. 6) No Open Anything While Trying. 7) See "Broken Image Icon" (lks. like pc. of paper w/circle, square & triangle in it) where Flash Player (installation) movie shd. be. 8) No Red X where movie shd. be. 9) 1" blank space where movie shd. be. 10) DON'T see "About Macromedia Flash Player" if R. Click on above blank space. 11) Tried uninstalling Adobe Reader 8.1.0 first - no good. 12) Allowed the ActiveX Control - no good. Text
