macromedia players flash : Transparency problem

Our company recently upgraded to Flash Player Version 9,0,47,0 for security
reasons.

As soon as we did that, the Flash movie on our homepage disappeared, leaving a
big blank space. I believe this is due to the ?transparent? parameter in the
code. This parameter was used so that drop-down menus above the movie would be
visible. However, if I remove the transparent parameter, the movie reappears,
but the drop-down menus disappear behind the movie. http://www.pemcotech.com

I tried using different wmode parameter values. I tried assigning CSS z-index
values to the movie and the menus. I tired throwing my rubber stress ball
against the wall. No luck. Suggestions?

I had the issue of a white box appearing on a web page in place of the flash
movie, and ?movie not loaded? appearing on a right click (Vista, ie7, flash
9,0,47,0)

(Firefox works fine)

I fixed ie7, as follows:

(1) Uninstall Flash 9 using uninstaller in Windows/System32/Macromed

(2) Download Flash 8 from

http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14266

( or just Google ?Flash 8 download? and find a site )

(3) Install Flash 8

(4) then uninstall Flash 8 using the uninstaller now in
Windows/System32/Macromed

(this is the ?old? F1 step uninstaller )

(5) Install Flash 9 ?. I just went to adobe.com main page ?.

BINGO !!!! NO MORE WHITE BOX!
